Section 1 Citation, commencement, extent, application and interpretation

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Health Protection (Coronavirus, International Travel) (England) (Amendment) (No. 15) Regulations 2021 and come into force at 4.00 a.m. on 12th May 2021.

(2) These Regulations extend to England and Wales and apply in relation to England only.

(3) In these Regulations, “the International Travel Regulations” means the Health Protection (Coronavirus, International Travel) (England) Regulations 2020 .

Section 2 Amendment to the International Travel Regulations

(1) The International Travel Regulations are amended as follows.

(2) In Schedule B1 (countries and territories subject to additional measures), insert entries for “The Maldives”, “Nepal” and “Turkey” at the appropriate places.

(3) In Schedule B1A (additional measures), in paragraph 2(1)(g) (exemptions), after sub-paragraph (iv) insert—

(iva) paragraph 6 (road haulage workers) unless P has at any time during the period beginning with the 10th day before the date of P’s arrival in England departed from or transited through a country or territory listed in Schedule B1 apart from Turkey,

(4) In Schedule B2 (prohibition on arrival of aircraft and vessels)—

(a) in paragraph 1 (aircraft), insert entries for “The Maldives” and “Turkey” at the appropriate places;

(b) for paragraph 2 (vessels) substitute—

Section 3 Transitional and saving provision

In relation to any person who arrived in England at or after 4.00 a.m. on 15th February 2021 but before 4.00 a.m. on 12th May 2021, the International Travel Regulations apply as if the amendments made by regulation 2(2) and (3) had not been made.
