Section 1 Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Ammonium Nitrate Materials (High Nitrogen Content) Safety (Amendment) Regulations 2022 and come into force on 4th February 2022.

Section 2 Amendment of the Ammonium Nitrate Materials (High Nitrogen Content) Safety Regulations 2003

(1) The Ammonium Nitrate Materials (High Nitrogen Content) Safety Regulations 2003 are amended as follows.

(2) In regulation 13—

(a) in paragraph (1), omit “from within the European Union, where that material is imported into Great Britain”;

(b) in paragraph (2)—

(i) for “regulation 2(2)(a)” substitute “regulation 2(2)” ;

(ii) for “United Kingdom and the European Union” substitute “United Kingdom or the European Union” ;

(c) in paragraph (3), after “does not apply” insert “to relevant ammonium nitrate imported into Great Britain from within the European Union” .
