Section 1 Citation, commencement and extent

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Police Act 1997 (Criminal Records) (Amendment) Regulations 2022 and come into force on 6th April 2022.

(2) These Regulations extend to England and Wales.

Section 2 Amendments to the Police Act 1997 (Criminal Records) Regulations 2002

(1) The Police Act 1997 (Criminal Records) Regulations 2002 are amended as follows.

(2) In regulation 3A (fee for criminal conviction certificates), for “£23” substitute “£18” .

(3) In regulation 4(1) (fees for criminal record certificates and enhanced criminal record certificates)—

(a) in sub-paragraph (a), for “£23” substitute “£18” ;

(b) in sub-paragraph (b), for “£40” substitute “£38” .
