Section 1Citation and extent
(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Leasehold Reform (Ground Rent) Act 2022 (Commencement) Regulations 2022.
(2) These Regulations extend to England and Wales.

Section 2Interpretation
In these Regulations “ the Act ” means the Leasehold Reform (Ground Rent) Act 2022.
Section 3Provision coming into force on 30th June 2022 (leases other than leases of retirement homes)
Subject to regulation 4, sections 1 to 19 of, and the Schedule to, the Act come into force on 30th June 2022 (insofar as not already in force).
Section 4Provision coming into force on 1st April 2023 (leases of retirement homes)
Sections 1 to 19 of, and the Schedule to, the Act come into force for the purposes of leases of retirement homes on 1st April 2023.
