Section 1 Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Hartlepool Development Corporation (Establishment) Order 2023 and comes into force on 27th February 2023.

Section 2 Mayoral Development Area

(1) The Mayoral development area is the areas of land shown bounded externally by the inside edge of the black lines on the maps.

(2) In paragraph (1), “ the maps ” means the maps marked “Map 1 of 2 referred to by the Hartlepool Development Corporation (Establishment) Order 2023” and “Map 2 of 2 referred to by the Hartlepool Development Corporation (Establishment) Order 2023” of which prints signed by a Deputy Director in the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities have been deposited, and are available for inspection, at the offices of the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government and at the offices of the Tees Valley Combined Authority.

Section 3 Establishment and naming of the Hartlepool Development Corporation

There is established a corporation for the Mayoral development area named the “Hartlepool Development Corporation”.
