Section 1 Citation, commencement and extent

(1) This Order may be cited as the British Nationality (Eswatini, Gabon and Togo) Order 2023 and comes into force on 15th December 2023.

(2) This Order extends to England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. It additionally extends to the Isle of Man, the Bailiwick of Jersey, the Bailiwick of Guernsey and the British Overseas Territories.

Section 2 Amendment of Schedule 3 to the British Nationality Act 1981

In Schedule 3 to the British Nationality Act 1981 (countries whose citizens are Commonwealth citizens)—

(a) omit “Swaziland”, and

(b) at the appropriate places insert the following entries—

“Eswatini”;

“Gabon”;

“Togo”.
