Section 1 Citation, commencement and extent

(1) This Order may be cited as the Civil Contingencies Act 2004 (Amendment of List of Responders) Order 2023.

(2) This Order comes into force on the 22nd day after the day on which it is made.

(3) This Order extends to England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Section 2 Amendment of Schedule 1 to the Civil Contingencies Act 2004

In Part 3 (Category 2 Responders: General) of Schedule 1 to the Civil Contingencies Act 2004, after paragraph 29B insert—

(29C) The Coal Authority.

(29D) The Secretary of State, in so far as the functions of the Secretary of State include the activities of the Meteorological Office.
