Section 1 Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Power to Award Degrees etc. (National Film and Television School (The)) Order 2023 and shall come into force on 9th January 2023.

Section 2 Authorisation to grant awards

National Film and Television School (The) (registered company number 00981908) is authorised to grant taught awards of the kind mentioned in section 42(2)(c) of the said Act for taught awards up to and including master’s level for subjects related to—

(a) design,

(b) creative arts,

(c) performing arts, and

(d) media,

including but not limited to the subjects specified in the Schedule.

Section 3 Authorisation to grant awards

The authorisation in article 2 is for a fixed term beginning on 9th January 2023 and expiring at the end of the day on 8th April 2029

Section 4 Authorisation to grant awards

National Film and Television School (The) may authorise other institutions to grant such awards as specified in article 2 of this Order on its behalf.
