Section 1 Citation, commencement, extent and application

This Order may be cited as the Designation of Schools Having a Religious Character (England) (Amendment and Revocations) Order 2024 and comes into force on the day after the day on which it is made.

Section 2

This Order extends to England and Wales, and applies to England.

Section 3 Amendment to the Designation of Schools Having a Religious Character (Independent Schools) (England) (No. 2) Order 2013

(1) The Designation of Schools Having a Religious Character (Independent Schools) (England) (No. 2) Order 2013 is amended as follows.

(2) In Schedule 1, in relation to the entry for King’s School, BN41 2PG—

(a) in column 1, for ‘BN41 2PG’ substitute ‘BN3 8BN’;

(b) in column 2, for ‘Christianity’ substitute ‘Church of England’.

Section 4 Revocations

The following provisions are revoked—

(a) in Part 1 of the Schedule to the Designation of Schools Having a Religious Character (England) Order 1999 , the entries in relation to St Mary's Catholic Primary School (BD1 4EJ), St Peter's Catholic Primary School (BD3 9ND) and De La Salle Catholic High School (L11 4SG);

(b) in the Schedule to the Designation of Schools Having a Religious Character (Independent Schools) (England) (No. 2) Order 2011 , the title and entry in relation to The De La Salle Academy, L11 4SG.
