Section 1 Citation, commencement and extent

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Criminal Legal Aid (General) (Amendment) Regulations 2024.

(2) These Regulations come into force on 10th February 2024.

(3) These Regulations extend to England and Wales.

Section 2 Amendment to the Criminal Legal Aid (General) Regulations 2013

(1) The Criminal Legal Aid (General) Regulations 2013 are amended as follows.

(2) In regulation 9 (criminal proceedings)—

(a) at the end of sub-paragraph (uf) omit “and”;

(b) after sub-paragraph (uf) insert—

(ug) proceedings under sections 21, 28 or 29 of the Public Order Act 2023 in relation to a serious disruption prevention order; and
