Section 1Citation and commencement and interpretation

(1) This Order may be cited as the Access to the Countryside (Coastal Margin) (Combe Martin to Marsland Mouth) Order 2025 and comes into force on the day after the day on which it is made.

(2) In this Order—

“ the Act ” means the National Parks and Access to the Countryside Act 1949 ;

“ the relevant approvals ” means the approval, by the Secretary of State under section 52(1) of the Act of the proposals contained in the—

England Coast Path Combe Martin to Marsland Mouth CMM1, Combe Martin Beach to Seven Hills, Ilfracombe report on 13th January 2021;

England Coast Path Combe Martin to Marsland Mouth CMM2, Seven Hills, Ilfracombe to Woolacombe report on 13th January 2021;

England Coast Path Combe Martin to Marsland Mouth CMM3, Woolacombe to Cock Rock, Croyde report on 13th January 2021;

England Coast Path Combe Martin to Marsland Mouth CMM4, Cock Rock, Croyde to Velator report on 23rd November 2023;

England Coast Path Combe Martin to Marsland Mouth CMM5, Velator to Taw Bridge, Barnstaple report on 13th January 2021;

England Coast Path Combe Martin to Marsland Mouth CMM6, Taw Bridge, Barnstaple to Bideford Long Bridge report on 13th January 2021;

England Coast Path Combe Martin to Marsland Mouth CMM7, Bideford Long Bridge to Westward Ho! report on 13th January 2021;

England Coast Path Combe Martin to Marsland Mouth CMM8, Westward Ho! to Barton Wood report on 23rd November 2023;

England Coast Path Combe Martin to Marsland Mouth CMM9, Barton Wood to Hartland Point report on 13th January 2021;

England Coast Path Combe Martin to Marsland Mouth CMM10, Hartland Point to Marsland Mouth report on 13th January 2021.

“ the relevant reports ” means the reports submitted by Natural England to the Secretary of State under sections 51 and 55A of the Act on 19th July 2017 entitled—

England Coast Path Combe Martin to Marsland Mouth CMM1, Combe Martin Beach to Seven Hills, Ilfracombe;

England Coast Path Combe Martin to Marsland Mouth CMM2, Seven Hills, Ilfracombe to Woolacombe;

England Coast Path Combe Martin to Marsland Mouth CMM3, Woolacombe to Cock Rock, Croyde;

England Coast Path Combe Martin to Marsland Mouth CMM4, Cock Rock, Croyde to Velator;

England Coast Path Combe Martin to Marsland Mouth CMM5, Velator to Taw Bridge, Barnstaple;

England Coast Path Combe Martin to Marsland Mouth CMM6, Taw Bridge, Barnstaple to Bideford Long Bridge;

England Coast Path Combe Martin to Marsland Mouth CMM7, Bideford Long Bridge to Westward Ho!;

England Coast Path Combe Martin to Marsland Mouth CMM8, Westward Ho! to Barton Wood;

England Coast Path Combe Martin to Marsland Mouth CMM9, Barton Wood to Hartland Point;

England Coast Path Combe Martin to Marsland Mouth CMM10, Hartland Point to Marsland Mouth.

Section 2End of access preparation period

In relation to land which is coastal margin, as a result of the relevant approvals of the proposals contained in the relevant reports, the day appointed as the day on which the access preparation period ends, is 17th December 2025.
