Section 1 Citation, commencement and extent

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Seafarers’ Wages (Amendment) Regulations 2025.

(2) These Regulations come into force on 1st April 2025.

(3) These Regulations extend to England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Section 2 Amendments to the Seafarers’ Wages Regulations 2024

(1) The Seafarers’ Wages Regulations 2024 are amended as follows.

(2) In regulation 5(2)(b) (declarations), for “1st of January before” substitute “first day of” .

(3) In paragraph (1) of regulation 14 (the national minimum wage equivalent)—

(a) in sub-paragraph (a), for “£11.44” substitute “£12.21” ;

(b) in sub-paragraph (b), for “£8.60” substitute “£10.00” ;

(c) in sub-paragraph (c), for “£6.40” substitute “£7.55” ;

(d) in sub-paragraph (d), for “£6.40” substitute “£7.55” .
