Section 1 Citation and interpretation

(1) This Order may be cited as the Local Government Act 1999 (Commencement) (Wales) Order 1999.

(2) In this Order “ the Act ” means the Local Government Act 1999.

Section 2 Provisions coming into force on 1st October 1999

The following provisions of the Act shall come into force in relation to Wales on 1st October 1999 —

section 12(1) and (4),

section 19(1), (2) and (4),

section 20,

section 22,

section 23,

section 25(1), (2)(a), (d), (e), (f), (g) and (h) and (3).

section 26.

Section 3 Provisions coming into force on 1st April 2000

The following provisions of the Act shall come into force in relation to Wales on 1st April 2000 —

section 8(1),

section 9,

section 10(1), (2) and (3),
