Section 1 Citation, commencement, and application

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the National Health Service (General Medical Services) (Amendment) (No. 3) (Wales) Regulations 2002 and shall come into force on 1st August 2002.

(2) These Regulations shall apply to Wales only.

Section 2 Amendment of the National Health Service (General Medical Services) Regulations 1992

(1) The National Health Service (General Medical Services) Regulations 1992 shall be amended in accordance with the following paragraph of this Regulation.

(2) In Schedule 10 (drugs and other substances not to be prescribed for supply under pharmaceutical services):—

(a) the following entries shall be inserted in such places in the alphabetical order of the entries as is appropriate—

Boots Glucomsamine Capsules 400 mg

Glucosamine Sulphate Tablets 600mg

Health Aid Glucosamine Sulphate Tablets 500mg

Solgar Glucosamine Sulphate Tablets

Vega Glucosamine Capsules 400 mg

(b) the following entries shall be omitted—

Cow and Gate Nutriprem 2
