The Local Government (Whole Authority Analyses and Improvement Plans) (Wales) (Amendment) Order 2004

Section 1 Name, commencement, interpretation and application

(1) The name of this Order is the Local Government (Whole Authority Analyses and Improvement Plans) (Wales) (Amendment) Order 2004 and it shall come into force on 30 June 2004.

(2) In this Order —

“the 2002 Order ” means the Local Government (Whole Authority Analyses and Improvement Plans) (Wales) Order 2002 .

(3) This Order applies to best value authorities in Wales with the exception of those specified in section 1(1)(d) and (e) of the Local Government Act 1999.

Section 2 Amendments to the 2002 Order

(1) The 2002 Order is amended as follows.

(2) In article 3, at the beginning, there is inserted “Subject to article 3A,”.

(3) After article 3, there is inserted —

Publication of improvement plans in financial year 2004-2005

(3A) For the financial year beginning on 1st April 2004 and ending on 31st March 2005, best value authorities must publish their improvement plan by 31 July 2004.
