Section 1Title, application, commencement and interpretation

(1) The title of this Order is the Functions in relation to External Qualifications (Wales) Order 2009.
(2) It applies in relation to Wales.
(3) It comes into force on 5 June 2009.
(4) In this Order, references to paragraphs are to paragraphs of section 30(1) of the Education Act 1997.

Section 2Functions to be exercisable solely by the Welsh Ministers

(1) The functions set out in paragraphs (a) to (c), (d) and (ea) so far as they relate to national vocational qualifications shall be exercised solely by the Welsh Ministers.

(2) The functions set out in paragraphs (e) and (f) so far as they relate to national vocational qualifications shall be exercised solely by the Welsh Ministers.
