Section 1 Title, commencement and application

(1) The title of these Regulations is the Local Authorities' Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) (Amendment) (Wales) Regulations 2010. They come into force on 1 December 2010.

(2) These Regulations apply in relation to Wales.

Section 2 Amendment of the Local Authorities' Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996

(1) In regulation 18 of the Local Authorities' Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996 , after paragraph (4), insert the following—

(4A) Nothing in this regulation requires the placing of any traffic sign on or near a road, or the maintenance of such signs, in a special enforcement area in Wales, for the purpose of providing information to road users as to the effect of section 85 or 86 of the Traffic Management Act 2004 in that area.

(2) In regulation 18, paragraph (5), delete the words “In paragraph (4)” and replace with “In paragraphs (4) and (4A)”.
