Section 1Title and commencement
(1) The title of these Regulations is the Federation of Maintained Schools (Wales) (Amendment) Regulations 2021.
(2) These Regulations come into force on 4 February 2022.

Section 2Amendments to the Federation of Maintained Schools (Wales) Regulations 2014
(1) The Federation of Maintained Schools (Wales) Regulations 2014 are amended as follows.
(2) In regulation 15 (teacher governors), in paragraph (4)—
(a) the words from “any person” to the end become sub-paragraph (a), and
(b) after that sub-paragraph insert—
; or
(b) a federation that consists of only two schools.
(3) In regulation 16 (staff governors), in paragraph (4)—
(a) the words from “any person” to the end become sub-paragraph (a), and
(b) after that sub-paragraph insert—
; or
(b) a federation that consists of only two schools.
