Section 1 Title, commencement and application

(1) The title of these Regulations is the Eggs (Wales) Regulations 2022 and they come into force on 4 March 2022.

(2) These Regulations apply in relation to Wales.

Section 2 Amendment of Commission Regulation (EC) No 589/2008

(1) Commission Regulation (EC) No 589/2008 laying down detailed rules for implementing Council Regulation (EC) No 1234/2007 as regards marketing standards for eggs is amended in accordance with paragraph (2).

(2) In Article 24(3), in the first sub-paragraph, for the words from “at the time” to “free circulation” substitute “before being offered for sale to the final consumer or to mass caterers” .
