Section 1 Title, coming into force and extent

(1) The title of these Regulations is the Food Supplements (Magnesium L-threonate monohydrate) (Wales) Regulations 2026.

(2) These Regulations come into force on 5 March 2026.

(3) These Regulations extend to England and Wales.

Section 2 Amendment of the Nutrition (Amendment etc.) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019

(1) Schedule 2 to the Nutrition (Amendment etc.) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019 (vitamin and mineral substances which may be used in the manufacture of food supplements) is amended as follows.

(2) In Part B (minerals) of the table, after the entry “magnesium citrate malate” insert “magnesium L-threonate monohydrate (in relation to Wales)” .

Section 3 Purity criteria for magnesium L-threonate monohydrate

The purity criteria for magnesium L-threonate monohydrate are set out in the Schedule.
